A powerful 1942 naval recruitment poster showing a grey warship cutting through Pacific waters, with silhouettes of New Zealand and Australia behind it. "Protect New Zealand" in bold block letters drives home the message -- our islands needed defending, and the Royal New Zealand Navy answered the call.
