Camp Life
New Zealand soldiers in France and Belgium during World War I, gathered around a makeshift camp. Playing cards, sharing stories, and simply being together -- these moments of camaraderie sustained men through the darkest days of the conflict. This photograph from the Royal New Zealand Returned and Services' Association collection captures the bonds forged in war that lasted a lifetime.
